K to the 8th Power is a group of teaching and technology professionals dedicated to the development of technology curriculum that supports national and state academic standards.

K to the 8th Power was originally founded by Donna Caldwell and Ken Reed.

Donna Caldwell, Chief Learning Officer
Donna has worked in the field of education for over 25 years. She has held positions as an elementary teacher, special education teacher, learning disabilities resource teacher and psychometrist. She has been a speaker at educational technology conferences on integrating technology into the curriculum. Her primary responsibilities with K to the 8th Power include designing a technology curriculum that incorporates activities aligned with national standards in reading, math and written language. Donna holds a BA in Elementary and Special education from Harding University and an MA in Developmental Learning from the University of Alabama. She is also certified as a School Psychometrist. Ken Reed, Chief Technology Officer
During Ken's 18 years in the technology field he has held positions as Member Technical Staff for Bell Northern Research, Senior Engineering Manager for McDATA Corporation and Founder/President of WestNet Learning Technologies. Ken's primary responsibilities with K to the 8th Power include corporate administration and the oversight of the technical aspects of the business. Ken has published 14 textbooks that have been translated into 4 languages and distributed in 20 countries. These books are on technology subjects including computer basics, computer networking, computer programming and web development. Ken holds a BS from Regis University in Technical Management, a MS in Telecommunications from SMU and a MBA from the University of Dallas. Ken can be reached at Ken@kto8.com.
